Customer ReferencesNovember 28, 2001 Peter, Just a note to let you know how well my computer is running. Thank you very much for all your professional recommendations on the components I will need in my computer to handle today's needs and my future needs. You did an excellent job on upgrading my computer, it runs faster than it ever has. Thank you for the recommendations to install the Norton antivirus to protect all my files. I highly recommend you and your company to handle anyone's personal computer or company computer needs. Your professional attitude to not let someone cheat themselves out of what they really need is one of your greatest assets. I am reminded of an old saying (when you buy quality you only cry once). Richard C. November 13, 1997 To Whom It May Concern, It gives me great personal pleasure and professional satisfaction to write the following recommendation for Paxson Enterprises (P.E.). I have found that it is a rare occasion in my career to have the opportunity to work with a company of their exceptional caliber. My only hesitation in stating my appraisal of P.E. in such glowing terms is that the reader might falsely jump to the conclusion that the recommendation might be overblown. I assure you that this is not the case. To tone down the description of P.E. would be to underrate their expertise, integrity and performance. Tracor Aerospace has done business with Paxson Enterprises since 1992. I have been one of the principal contacts for Tracor and I have most often dealt directly with Peter Paxson and his wife Jeanette. Without exception, the many, and sometimes lengthy, interactions with Peter and Jeanette have been comfortable, professional and highly productive. The nature of the work performed by P.E. for Tracor includes the following: Global Process Control: Paxson Enterprises produced original software to manage a complex process of taking over 6,000 drawing files from a mainframe computer which used one type of Computer Aided Design software and finished with the drawings in AutoCAD format in a managed database. The fully automated process involved passing each of the drawings through a custom software format translator, importing the resulting file into AutoCAD, where the program merged data, extracted during the process, into each drawing and finally importing the finished AutoCAD file into the File Management System. Numerous data integrity checks were performed during the process. The quality of the result for this type of undertaking is unexcelled in my experience and frankly exceeded Tracor's high expectations. File Management System (FMS): Paxson Enterprises also produced the aforementioned FMS. This project involved not only writing a custom interface around a state of the art database engine but the creation of software code (internal to the FMS) that performed elaborate checking and rule following to virtually eliminate human error in data entry. The mechanism conceived by Peter in this case was years ahead of its time and is only now beginning to show up in other data management software products. In the complex computing environment here at Tracor, I can think of no other software that we use that has worked to reliably over so long a time. It works like the proverbial brick and is unchanged and still in use today after nearly five years (an eternity in the fast changing world of computer software). Data Submittal: The Government agencies (primarily military) that require technical data to be submitted to them on a periodic basis have very exacting standards. Tracor has a reputation that is extremely well regarded in both government and industry for the quality of our technical data packages. When we began to be asked to submit these data package in electronic form we chose to call on P.E. because of their familiarity with our data, the File Management System and their excellent reputation for unexcelled quality of work. We were not disappointed. In fact, not only does Tracor's reputation for excellence continue (with P.E.'s help) but Peter and the company made it possible for Tracor to be the first to successfully submit data in electronic form, meeting the Military's demanding, confusing and often contradictory requirements. Finally, I feel it essential to say that the most important quality that P.E. possesses, beyond their intelligence, creativity and sheer competence, is their personal integrity. This quality shows itself when a project faces difficulty, when others might take the easy way out . . . making excuses or choosing some self-serving option . . . Peter, Jeanette and the rest of their staff consistently do the right thing for the customer, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard. Sincerely, Robert W. | ||||
